Rev. Duane Partin - Pastor

Duane grew up in Fuquay-Varina and graduated in 1990 from Mars Hill College with a BA in Communications and a double minor in Theater and English. In 1997, he received a Master of Divinity from Duke Divinity School. He was ordained an Elder in the N.C. Annual Conference in 1999.

Duane has been married to Heidi since 1992. They have three children: Ivy-Grace, Emma-Rose, and Avery.

Currently, Duane serves on the Stewardship Commission, Nominations Committee, and the Conference Secretarial Staff. In addition to District and Conference responsibilities, he has served the Southeastern Jurisdiction by helping lead worship and plenary sessions for confirmation retreats at Lake Junaluska, NC.

Duane is a film buff (although his wife calls him a “movie nerd”). He enjoys traveling, reading, playing guitar, singing, and writing. He is also a self-described coffee snob.

Nancy Nason - Secretary

Nancy Nason is a minister’s daughter; she and her husband, Ron, pastored churches in New York, Pennsylvania and Maine before retiring and moving to Dunn, NC, mid 2005. She is experienced in secretarial work, having worked in a Bible college office, in churches, and medical facilities. She loves teaching Bible classes, reading, and plays piano, organ and accordion. Nancy is a graduate of Valley Forge Christian College in Pennsylvania, having majored in Bible and Christian Education of Children. They have three children, Judy, Jeff and Jennifer and five grandchildren, Alex, Caleb, Anna, Naomi, and Lydia.

Lou Morton - Pianist

Lou earned her BSW from Western Carolina University 1982 and served as choral accompianist for WCU from 1978-1982. She worked in a long term care facility as an admissions and social worker, and at Rex Healthcare for eight years. She currently works as a DMA Program Consultant. She played at Swains Steakhouse from 1984-1991, was a vocalist and played keyboards for "Southbound" from 1980-1982, and worked in a piano bar at Howard Johnson's-Crabtree from 1982-1984. She has two children, David and Jennifer, and husband Mike.
