Fourth Sunday Luncheon
Every Fourth Sunday we gather as a congregation for a meal together. All are welcomed to come and join us.
Sunday School
Sunday School Classes are held each Sunday morning from 9:50 a.m.– 10:40 a.m. If you are interested in volunteering and/or substituting for any of the teachers, please contact Amy King (639-0868).
Nursery (Room #8): (newborns–2 years old) The Nursery has many age-appropriate toys. They share stories, toys, music, and lots of love. Lynda Ogburn and Parent Volunteers are the teachers.
Lambs (Room #7): (children 3–4 years old) The Lambs uses the Cokesbury curriculum, Rock Solid: Building a Heart of Faith. They play lots of games, activities, crafts, and music. Julie McCarthy and Candice Clark are the teachers.
Elementary (Room #5): (Kindergarten-2nd grade) These children use the Cokesbury curriculum, Rock Solid: Building a Heart of Faith. They play lots of games, activities, crafts, and music. Lisa Perkins is the teacher.
Tweens (Room #6): (3rd-5th grade) In a comfortable environment with 2 sofas and a leather chair, the “Tweens” (no longer children and not yet teens) participate in refreshments, discussions, activities, and games that are age-appropriate and relative in the teaching of the Bible. The members of this class are given a basic knowledge of the most prominent stories and lessons from the Bible as to build a foundation for continued learning and more in-depth understanding in an effort to instill in these young students a quest to know more. Bob Long is the teacher.
Youth (Youth Room located in the Pavillion): (6th-12th grade) The Youth class is a faith-based discussion of various topics. Jeffrey McCumber is the teacher.
Young Parents Class (Room #1) – (Parents): This is a new class for parents of children in Sunday School. This class will be a topical class studying topics related to what their children are studying or topics decided on by the class. Join us for this exciting leap of faith. Teachers are John Clark and Parent Volunteers.
G-Force Class (Room #4): (mixed-age adult men and women) The G-Force class studies various Bible topics throughout the year. Lessons are Scripture-based and designed to generate life application discussions and encourage discipleship. Friendship and fellowship describe this lively group whose outreach and mission projects continue to touch lives within our church and community. Opportunities for spiritual growth and the joys of experiencing the love of Jesus Christ as part of a wonderful church family are waiting. Come join us! Peggy Banks is the teacher.
Carol Mennella Class (Room #3): (adults of all ages, married or single) The Carol Mennella class enjoys a casual discussion-oriented class using contemporary literature as well as quarterly study material from Cokesbury, the Methodist Publishing House. They encourage liberal thinking within the Scriptures and will discuss the pros and cons of any relevant question. This class provides a warm feeling of acceptance and encourages visitors to bring their morning coffee and join them! Facilitators are Richard Forbis and other class members.
June Williams Class (Room #2): (older adult men and women) The June Williams class is described as extremely interesting, informative, inspiring, and challenging and offers consistent weekly Bible study using the NIV series. The unit title for the fall quarter is “Covenant Communities” with lessons from the Old Testament books of Joshua and Judges and New Testament books such as Mark. Join the June Williams Sunday School Class for great Bible study
and lively discussion taught by Frances Wells.
